SPAN Fact Sheets
The Southern Pine Awareness Network was founded in January of 2005 with the goal of raising the awareness of Southern Pine as a leading building material throughout the Southeast. Supported by funding from members of the Southeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association (SLMA), SPAN is designed to be an information clearing house for consumers throughout the Southeast region.
SPAN promotes the use of Southern Pine in both interior and exterior applications, including: framing, flooring, paneling, ceiling panels, porch flooring, decking, gazebos, playsets and other backyard projects. Treated Southern Pine is the best choice for outdoor projects because of its strength, durability and the beauty the wood's natural grain brings to every project.
