Information for Younger Students

If your children are third grade or younger, we offer a wide selection of coloring pages focusing on Southern forests and the environment. Use them to initiate discussions about healthy forests or as a follow-up activity to planting a seedling.

Come take a trip through the forest with us. You'll discover lots of wonderful things about trees, America's only renewable resource. Did you know that parts of trees can be found in toothpaste, vanilla flavoring and even the books you read in school? Trees provide more than 5,000 products we use everyday. Trees hold many surprises. They help us breathe by making oxygen and they help clean the air as well. One acre of trees can remove 26,000 pounds of dust and gasses from the air each year. So, let's take a walk in the woods and learn about these gentle giants that give us so much!
