| I am interested in adding some pine window planters to my house. My house is completely brick and I do not know how I would attach the planters underneath my windows. How do the planters attach to a brick house? |

Home Depot (and probably most other home improvement stores) carry a fastener called "Tapcon." It is a masonry fastener that has a built-in anchor. You can buy a package that includes a masonry drill bit with the screw/anchor.
Just predrill both the planter and mortar joint (using the masonry bit for the joint) where you want to hang the planter, then attach the planter to the window with the Tapcon anchor/screw. Add flowers and voila - a whole new look for your house!
I also found this link which has tons of information about attaching things to brick: http://fasteners.hardwarestore.com/learning/working-with-masonry-anchors.aspx. |
